 The retail store I selected is the Woolworths in Franklin,ACT, and the product I selected is the banana the store sells. The company creates the awareness of the product quite obviously, because the product is placed near the entrance, so the customer can see it right away after getting into the store. This store does not have any sample that can be tasted, so the customer have to buy the product and then try it out. 


There are two main ways the company gives information about the product. The first one is to show the detailed information on the company's website. The second one is that there is a label below the product, so the customer can have a look at the basic information about the product, which includes the product's name, price and the originated country. The way that this store used to retain the customer is to use the daily reward points system. In other words, if I spent 10 dollars in the store, this amount of money I spent can be recorded in the Daily Woolworth Reward Card. The points can be used for discount, which means the more you spend on the store the more discount you can get. Therefore, I think that is a good way to retain customers. The way mentioned above also can also let people buy more products in the store. Moreover, this retail is the only large retail store in the Franklin area, therefore, the store can retain the customer in the area easily as this company is also one of the largest retail store in Australia, so the reputation can also help. Furthermore, there will be discount for the product sometimes, that is usually the time the customer want to buy more products in the store.

There are plenty of promotional strategy the company used to determine the potential customers, such as online advertisement, selling bags with the logo on it, also the advertisement put on the truck used for food transferring.
